The first Tunisian Chairwoman of an insurance company.

Lamia Ben Mahmoud has been nominated STR’s chairwoman. She is the first Tunisian woman to access such a rank.

Aged 43, STR’s new chairwoman is holder of a  Bachelor’s Degree inEconomic Sciences and a diploma  from the Institut de Financement du Développement  (IFID)  which trains Maghreb’s senior executives in banking and insurance. Lamia Ben Mahmoud has started out her career at the insurance headquarters of the Ministry of Finance where she was entrusted with various tasks including control management then surveys and legislation management.
