Global insurance market: 2025 turnover

According to a recent report by Allianz, global insurance market turnover reached 6.869 trillion USD in 2025, representing a year-over-year increase of 7.1%.

The life insurance segment remained the largest contributor, accounting for 41.6% of total premiums, equivalent to 2.861 trillion USD.

Non-life (P&C) premiums totaled 2.32 trillion USD, representing a 33.8% share of the global insurance market.

Meanwhile, the health insurance segment generated turnover of 1.688 trillion USD, accounting for 24.6% of global premiums in 2025.
