Hatem Amira, new CEO of MAE Assurances

Hatem Amira has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of MAE Assurances, effective 1 June 2026. He succeeds Lassaad Zarrouk, who is stepping down after nine years at the helm of the company.

Mr. Amira brings more than 30 years of experience in the Tunisian insurance market. Throughout his career, he has held senior executive positions at Assurances COMAR and Hayett, Assurances BIAT, and the Tunisian Unified Motor Bureau (BUAT).

Since 2020, he has served as Executive Director of the Tunisian Federation of Insurance Companies (FTUSA).
