On Sunday evening, the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) announced the temporary suspension of marine traffic in the ports of Shuwaikh and Shuaiba due to adverse weather conditions, in order to ensure the safety of port personnel and infrastructure.
Parts of the country experienced wind speeds reaching up to 100 km/h, accompanied by thick clouds of dust.
Due to the violent winds and considerably reduced or non-existent visibility, the authorities were also forced to divert two incoming flights from Egypt to Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
