Launch of Globus Re

Members of the Globus network have set up a reinsurance company headquartered in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Called Globus Re, this new entity has a capital of 2 billion FCFA (4.2 million USD), subscribed by a dozen shareholders, members of the Globus network.
Managed by Jean Kwimang, former head of the reinsurance department at Activa Assurances (Cameroon), the company started its operations on January, 1, 2011. Globus Re includes Munich Re, Swiss Re, Scor and Africa Re among its reinsurers.
