Liberia: Motor insurance is now mandatory

Motor insurance has become compulsory in Liberia since February 2014. The official ceremony marking the event was held in Monrovia in the presence of Vice-President of the Republic, representatives of the ministry of transport, the police and insurance companies.

In his speech, the Vice President asked the authorities and in particular law enforcement officers to make all drivers respect this obligation. A sticker, issued together with the insurance certificate shall be affixed to the windscreen of all vehicles.
