No insurance for non-payment of premiums

The council of ministers of the CIMA zone decided to prevent insurance companies from renewing coverage to a policyholder who failed to pay the premium due during the previous period.

This obligation is notified by the new Article 13 of the insurance code which would enter into force on either October, 1, 2011 or January 1, 2012. This decision is designed to restore the credibility of the insurers in the area.
