The premiums written exceeded 94 million USD in 2014

In 2014, Burkina Faso’s insurers posted 51.09 billion FCFA (94.7 million USD) in turnover. A year earlier, the country’s fourteen insurance companies had generated a premium volume of 47 billion FCFA (98.6 million USD), which shows an 8% year-on-year growth. The local market accounts for eight non life and six life insurers.
The greatest challenge is to promote the products adapted to the simple needs of the population through the development of the insurance culture.
