Africa is in the heavens with the nomination of Tidjane Thiam, an Ivorian, at the top of Prudential, one of the biggest British insurers. Currently serving as financial manager of the group, Tidjane Thiam will start his duty in October 2009 in replacement of Mark Tucker.
