Results of the market in 2004

The turnover reported by the Algerian insurance market in 2004 amounts to 35.8 billion DZD (497.2 million USD) against 31.3 billion DZD (445.7 million USD) in 2003, that is, an overall increase of 12%.
The most remarkable evolutions of the market are:

• An 88.4% rise for the Personal Accident (the increase being accounted for mainly by the travel insurance required for the delivery of the Schengen visa),
• An 18.39% decrease for the marine class of business.
