Standard Chartered Bank embarks on bancassurance

Standard Chartered Bank has signed distribution agreements with the insurers Pan Africa Life Insurance and AIG Kenya Insurance. The partnership covers the distribution of life and non-life products of both companies.

Standard Chartered Bank is not the first bank to get into the bancassurance business. Barclays, Kenya Commercial Bank and National Industrial Credit Bank are already present in this market.
