Tightening of the legislation

At the end of December 2008, an instruction emanating from the Prime Ministry has been provided to restrict foreign companies' participation in newly-established companies to 49%. This legislation, which applies to insurance, has triggered turmoil among investors wishing to get established in Algeria.
