Traffic accidents: road fatalities increase in Tunisia

According to The National Road Safety Observatory (ONSR), 836 people lost their lives in road accidents between 1 January and 19 September 2026, that is a 11.11% increase in one year. Meanwhile, the number of people injured fell  by 17.14% to 4 391.

During the period under review, 3 384 traffic accidents were recorded compared to 3 986 twelve months earlier, a decrease of 15.1% in the number of accidents.
