Romel Tabaja, former deputy general manager of Trust Re has been appointed head of Oman Re. He takes over Abdallah Badaoui, who left the group on 6 October 2016.
The Omani reinsurer also nominated Khaled Nouiri, former Trust Re's head of regional operations, Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from 1 October 2016.
