Jun 2018 The Korean Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) is planning to lower entry barriers to the reinsurance market.
A draft amendment to the law governing this activity will be adopted, in this respect, during the second half of 2018.
This initiative aims to encourage the arrival of new reinsurers on the market, put an end to the monopoly of Korean Re and promote fairer competition.
