Insurance brokerage remains underdeveloped in Vietnam and progresses more slowly than the market. Brokerage fees and commissions are reporting only 81.5 million USD, that is, 5.2% of the premiums collected. Six local brokers and four foreign brokers are operating in the country. They hold 84.5% of the market. Much of the third party liability policies (73%) is carried out through brokers, compared to 34% in life insurance and 27% in fire.
