Announced in November 2023, the planned merger between Cigna and Humana [4] has been called off. Sources close to the matter reported that the two US insurers were unable to reach an agreement on the price of the transaction.
The merger between the two parties would have created a health insurance giant, valued at over 140 billion USD.
According to the same sources, Cigna and Humana are still open to the possibility of a merger in the future.
