Matthew Shaw has been promoted CEO of Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK), the London-based subsidiary of the Japanese Tokio Marine Group. He is taking over from Brad Irick, who has been appointed Co-Head of International Business for Tokio Marine Holdings.
B. Irick is replacing Chris Williams, who has been appointed Chairman of Tokio Marine Holdings' International Business.
Mr. Shaw had been TMK's Chief Underwriting Officer since 2020, until his recent promotion. This role will now be assumed by Vivek Syal, the company's current Chief Risk Officer.
Pending regulatory approval, these appointments will take effect on 1 April 2024.
