62% increase in turnover for the health branch

The health class of business , which accounts for 32% of the insurance market in the kingdom, has reported a 2007 turnover of about 2.7 billion SAR (721 million USD), that is, a 62% increase in comparison with 2006. According to the sector's officials, the 2008 forecasts should be around 8 billion SAR (2.1 billion USD). This performance is accounted for by the institution of the compulsory health scheme for all expatriate employees and their family members.
