6.8 million dwellings at the mercy of hurricanes in the United States

According to a “Storm Surge 2017” survey conducted by research center CoreLogic, dwellings worth a total of 1 500 billion USD, located on American coasts are exposed to hurricanes and floods. More than 6.8 million homes are under threat of these storms.

Texas and Florida account for the highest number of coastal dwellings with respectively 2.8 million and 563 000 houses at risk.
