750 000 USD to ensure basketball player Nicolas Batum for a week

In order to make it possible for Nicolas Batum to take part in the preparation of the French team in the 2016 men's world olympic qualifying tournament , the French Federation of Basketball (FFBB) would have been invited to pay an insurance premium of 750 000 USD,  just for one week

If the premium is so high, it is beacause N. Batum was not covered by any insurance. The player has just began negotiating a contract worth 120 million USD  with his club within the North American Basketball League.

FFBB has managed to reduce the amount of the invoice provided that NBA player will train individually, not play friendly matches nor take  part in any opposition.
