A bright future for Insurance

The construction, automobile and import sectors are reporting full growth in the country. The insurance market, which is posting 13 million USD in turnover today, is likely to go twofold if the regulation has been respected: many individuals and companies do not always get insured or choose to do it abroad. The market is shared between three companies: Egico, subsidiary of the Société Africaine d'Assurance et de Réassurance (SAAR, Cameroon) which holds 80% of the market shares, Chanas (subsidiary of Chanas Cameroon) and the Beninese Africaine des Assurances.
