A cargo plane crashes on a village in Kyrgyzstan

A cargo plane of the Turkish airline ACT Airlines crashed on 16 January 2017 on a peripheral area of Bishkek airport (Kyrgyzstan) where it was to stop.

The Boeing-747, which linked Hongkong to Istanbul, claimed the lives of 37 persons, including 33 people on the ground and 4 crew members. About 43 homes were also destroyed by the debris of the aircraft.

This plane accident is far from being the only one of its kind. On June 30, 2015, an Indonesian military plane crashed shortly after its take-off on the city of Medan (Indonesia), killing about 20 people on the ground as well as the 122 passengers of the aircraft.

On November 30, 2012, the crash in Brazzaville (Congo) of a plane belonging to the Armenian airline Rij Airways killed 32 people, including 25 of the city residents.
