A fire broke out on April 26, 2008 at Rosamor furniture factory

A fire broke out on April 26, 2008 at Rosamor furniture factory in the industrial area of Casablanca. This accident claimed the lives of 64 people and injured another 17. Material damage is very high. The fire policy was written at CNIA while the workmen's compensation's policy was entrusted to AXA.
This loss, due to the defective state of installations, has drawn attention to numerous dysfunctions of various departments. It has also led to the dismissal of the regional commander of Casablanca's civil defence.
