A plan for a motor insurance validity for more than one year

The Insurance Regulatory Development Authority (IRDA) has given its agreement in principle for the companies to market motor insurance products whose validity will be superior to the one year current validity in use.

Having to be implemented as of April 1, 2008, the new plan will allow the companies to propose packages with more advantageous tariffs for good drivers and to reduce fraud cases in motor insurance.
