A political risk and terrorism cover for the Ugandan people

According to the Uganda Insurers Association (UIA), the local companies will soon offer their customers terrorism, sabotage and political risks covers.

East Africa is facing a strong growth of politically motivated claims. The aim of the UIA is to raise public awareness of this risk and encourage people to purchase insurance policies covering losses caused by terrorist attacks.

Ugandan insurers could still benefit from the support of the Africa Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) to reinsure these policies.
