Acquisition of activities of the American AIG in Asia

Several Chinese companies including the giant China Life Insurance have voiced their interest in acquiring the activities of American AIG in Asia. Among the most solicited subsidiaries stand American Life Insurance Co (Alico), rated at 10.6 billion USD and American International Assurance (AIA). These two subsidiaries are established in many Asian countries, namely in Japan.
