Additional compensation for NIC

National Insurance Corporation (NIC) has paid an additional sum of 1.25 million USD to the relatives of the victims of the helicopter crash in which the Sudanese Vice-President John Garang along with other 13 passengers perished in 2005. NIC had already disbursed 1.75 million USD to seven relatives of victims.
