Aéma finalizes the acquisition of Aviva France

AVIVAAéma, created in January 2021 from the merger between Macif and Aésio Mutuelle, has obtained, on 30 September 2021, the approval of the supervisory authorities for the acquisition of Aviva France. The transaction amounts to 3.2 billion EUR (3.7 billion USD).

Through this operation, Aéma totals 14.5 billion EUR (16.8 billion USD) in turnover and 11 million customers. The group has thus become the second French insurer of non-life risks to individuals (motor, homeowners), the third in health (individual and group) and the fifth in life insurance.

Upon the acquisition, Jean-Philippe Dogneton has been appointed chairman of the Board of Directors of the new subsidiary and Philippe Michel Labrosse has been appointed CEO.
