Africa Re has joined AFC

Africa Re has joined AFC (Africa Finance Corporation), a Pan-African development financial institution. The accession of the first African reinsurer grants new impetus to AFC which plans on speeding up its growth strategy.

Set up in 2007, this foundation aims at offsetting investment deficit in African infrastructure. It is detained by several African governments, banks and private investment fund. In 2017, three new countries gained membership to AFC: Benin, Kenya and Zambia.
