AIG : Chris Schaper, new CEO of AlphaCat Managers

Chris SchaperChris Schaper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AlphaCat Managers, the ILS (Insurance Linked Securities) unit of American International Group (AIG). He succeeds Paschal Brooks who shall leave the group in 2022.

C. Schaper retains in the meantime his functions as CEO of the reinsurance divisions of the American insurer AIG Re and Validus Re, which he has held since 2019.

C. Schaper is a graduate of Johns-Hopkins University (USA), he has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry.

Throughout his professional career, he has held various positions within several groups including Marsh, Montpelier Re and Endurance Specialty Insurance.

Founded in 2008 in Bermuda, AlphaCat Managers helps investors access ILS.
