Airlines companies, 10 licences withdrawn

The Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo withdrew licenses of 10 airlines companies operating on its territory.

The companies involved are: Air Baraka Cetreca Aviation Service, Gisair, Goma Express, General Transport Airways Express Katanga, Lubumbashi Air Service, Pegasus Aviation, Aviation and Sion Tracep Congo Aviation.

This penalty is the result of non-compliance of the above-mentioned companies with standards and practices recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Note that almost all of the airline companies in the DRC are prohibited in the airspace of the European Union.
