Algeria, Algiers: prevention of natural catastrophes

Greater Algiers is faced with numerous threats related to natural catastrophes, the most serious of which pertain to earthquakes and floods.

Special attention has been given to those threats early April during the introduction of the master plan for urban management and land use.

In the presence of delegates of the ministry of the interior and local governments, international and Algerian experts have presented the techniques and tools designed to address those risks.

This event was meant to raise awareness of all stakeholders about the management of natural catastrophes and the means and resources to be made available in the area of urban management.
