Allianz Assistance: two helpline services available to the elderly

Allianz AssistanceInsurer Allianz has launched two new assistance services that will make life easier for the seniors: a home-based solution and a mobile solution.

Home-based assistance includes two types of alerts (critical and preventative). The first is triggered when the person does not move, or if he is manually activated to notify relatives or emergency services. Preventive alert is implemented when abnormal behaviors are detected by the assisted person (open front door, non-use of the bathroom, etc.) Senior's relatives are therefore notified by email. This new service also allows them to track the senior's activity through an application.

The mobile solution is intended for single people or those with Alzheimer's disease wishing to make their displacements safer. The geo-located helpline ensures the contact between the elderly and the assistance service in the event of a health problem. It also allows the setting of a security perimeter, that when it is crossed, the relatives of the assisted are alerted.
