Allianz Global Assistance launches SmartBenefits
Allianz Global Assistance has launched a new travel Insurance plan named SmartBenefits. This new guarantee immediately compensates travelers in case of delays in flights and / or luggage.
The German company constantly monitors its customers' flights and automatically files claims in case of delays in flights and / or luggage.
Thanks to the automatism of claims, SmartBenefits' customers can now, if they wish, be compensated only a few minutes after confirmation of a flight delay.
Allianz offers three payment options:
- An immediate payment of 100 USD per person, a few minutes after confirmation of the delay.
- A direct deposit payment (a procedure that lasts between 24 and 48 hours).
- A payment by postal check, if no action is taken.
According to Mike Nelson, CEO of Allianz Travel Insurance, this is "an innovation that will make it easier for travelers to get paid quickly".
