Allianz invests in the sector of electric vehicles in Morocco

The German insurer Allianz and the Moroccan industrial group Imperium Holding have created Emob, a local company specialising in sustainable development solutions. Announced as part of Formula E 2019 on 12 January in Marrakech, the new joint venture will produce two-wheeled electric vehicles in Morocco.

A dedicated insurance offer has also been launched to encourage Moroccans to adopt these environmentally friendly means of transport.

This project allows Allianz to enter the insurance market of electric vehicles in Africa. As a reminder, Allianz has been present in the Kingdom since the acquisition of Zurich Assurance Maroc in 2016 for 2.6 billion MAD (274 million USD).
