Allianz: new covers for semi-autonomous cars
Allianz France is expanding its range of insurance products dedicated to semi-autonomous cars. The insurer, which started out this niche as of May 2016, is proposing three new coverages: reinforced theft cover, assistance as well as broad motor legal protection.
The reinforced theft guarantee allows owners of semi-autonomous cars to benefit from coverage in the absence of physical break-ins and in case of hacking of the vehicle's electronic or computer systems.
The assistance ensures towing the vehicle to the most qualified garage and its handling for repair. The broad motor legal protection coverage completes Allianz offer and proposes legal assistance in case of piracy of the vehicle's data, or the dispute with the vehicle manufacturer or with the software developer.
