Allianz’s results impacted by the Coronavirus

Allianz, the leading European insurer, published its results as of 30 September 2020. The company recorded a 17.6% decrease in its net result, from 6.348 billion EUR (6.942 billion USD) in the first nine months of 2019 to 5.232 billion EUR (6.124 billion USD) twelve months later.

The result decreased by 14.6% to be set at 7.776 billion EUR (9.101 billion USD). The pandemic-related losses alone reached 1.3 billion EUR (1.52 billion USD) during the period under review.

The German insurer's revenues also downgraded by 1.9% and were set at 104.9 billion EUR (122.7 billion USD) compared to 106.9 billion EUR (116.9 billion USD) one year earlier.
