A.M. Best anticipates a decrease in M&A transactions in Europe

After a turbulent period, mergers-acquisitions (M&A) activity is expected to slow down in the coming months in Europe, says A.M. Best.

This relatively saturated market offers henceforth few growth opportunities. Difficult economic conditions and high costs associated with M&A transactions should reduce the appetite for this activity.

This interest has weakened in 2017. The lack of political visibility that reigns in several countries accounts for this slowdown.
