Amanda Blanc, new CEO of Aviva

Amanda Blanc has been appointed CEO of Aviva. She succeeds Maurice Tulloch, who is stepping down. This appointment is effective immediately.

Blanc is the first woman to be appointed President of the Association of British Insurers (ABI), she acquired more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector.

She has held senior positions with a number of insurers including AXA, Groupama, Towergate Insurance and Zurich Insurance. Aviva is one of the UK's leading life insurance groups with nearly 32 000 employees in 2018.

Headquartered in London, the company reported a turnover of 40.763 billion GBP (51.72 billion USD) and a net income of 1.568 billion GBP (1.98 billion USD) in 2018.
