Ambition Climat: insurers launch three investment funds

Eight French insurance companies^* are among the ten institutional investors who are joining forces to create three investment funds to fight global warming.

Known as "Ambition Climat", the funds are divided into:

• Two European equity funds, each worth 200 million EUR (221 million USD),
• A bond fund worth 100 million EUR (110.5 million USD)

The “Caisse des Dépôts” will appoint three managers in charge of these funds. Only companies with assets under management of 2 billion EUR (2.23 billion USD) or more are eligible to manage these funds. The deadline for applications is December 31st, 2019.

* Participating insurers: Allianz France, Aviva France, Axa France, BNP Paribas Cardif, CNP Assurances, Macif, MAIF and Société Générale Assurances.
