AMI Assurances: turnover decrease in 2021

AMI Assurances recorded a slight 0.5% decline in its turnover in 2021 which stood at 143.4 million TND (49.7 million USD) compared to 144.1 million TND (53.1 million USD) in 2020.

Non-life premiums settled at 135.2 million TND (46.9 million USD), decreasing by 4.2% compared to 141.1 million TND (52.06 million USD) recorded by the end of 2020.

The life activity, on the other hand, showed a 173% growth of its turnover, going from 3 million TND (1.1 million USD) on 31 December 2020 to 8.2 million TND (2.8 million USD) one year later. This increase stems from the growth of bancassurance underwritings and the dynamic performance of general agents.

The settled claims amounted to 108.4 million TND (37.6 million USD), which is an increase of 8.5% over one year. This increase in settlements is attributable to the recovery of a normal rhythm of indemnifications in 2021, notably in the motor activity.

As of 31 December 2021, the investment income reached 20.2 million TND (7.01 million USD).
