An insurance cover against the blocking of Chinese transactions in the United States

Chinese investors, willing to make an acquisition in the United States, can now underwrite an insurance policy covering the losses occasioned by a possible blockage of their transaction.

Marketed by a pool created by Aon, this guarantee was finalized following the rejection, by the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), of several chinese acquisition requests.

It should be noted that in 2016, Chinese companies invested 45.6 billion USD in the United States. According to the latest figures provided by the CFIUS, China accounts for 19% of the total transactions submitted to the Committee for approval.
