An insurer at the head of the Algerian telecommunications

Ahmed Choudar, a former insurer with a remarkable experience, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Télécom Algérie (GTA), a holding that covers three subsidiaries namely: Algérie Télécom, Algérie Télécom Satellite and Mobilis (Algérie Télécom Mobile).

Ahmed Choudar is a graduate in insurance from the financing institute of the Arab Maghreb development (IFID) in Tunis. He began his career at the Compagnie Algérienne d’Assurance et de Réassurance (CAAR), then he successively held the positions of general manager of the Algérienne des Assurances (2A), Alliance Assurances and Trust Algeria.

It is following his departure from the latter company and after a short time spent in the private sector that Ahmed Choudar began a career in telecommunications as general manager of Mobilis.
