Annual meeting on the Brown Card

The 36th annual general meeting of the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) Brown Card Scheme is being held from 8 to 10 October 2019 at the Pullman Hotel in Dakar.

The event brought together delegates from the ministries of finance, foreign affairs, justice and transport, representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry, and delegates from the defence and security forces (SDF).

As a reminder, the Brown Card:

• encourages the free movement of people and goods.
• provides coverage to road users within the ECOWAS
• allows fair compensation for victims of road accidents, caused to non-resident motorists from an ECOWAS member State.
