Aon-Willis merger: Aon to sell certain activities

AON et Willis Towers WatsonAon is selling its U.S. pension business to the private investment firm Aquiline Capital Partners. Aon's Retiree Health Exchange activities are being sold to Alight Solutions, a multinational business outsourcing company. Both transactions are valued at 1.4 billion USD.

Aon's objective is to obtain the approval of the regulatory authorities for the acquisition of Willis Towers Watson. It should be recalled that both parties have recently announced the sale of Willis Re to the broker Gallagher.

These deals will only proceed if the merger between Aon and Willis goes through.
