ARC and AfDB confirm their partnership

African Risk Capacity (ARC) and African Development Bank (AfDB) are going to strengthen their collaboration. This announcement comes as a logical consequence to the agreement protocol signed between both institutions in May 2016.

ARC and AfDB will be closely involved in the study of mechanisms for the management of climate-related risks. This partnership is meant to allow both partners to develop their capacities and services within member States which are endowed with additional aids likely to enable them to face climate shocks and ensuing disasters.

It will be later possible for ARC member States to integrate risk management in their development policies, especially when it comes to dealing with droughts, floods and tropical cyclones.
