Atlantique Assurances launches a new product for cotton producers

Atlantique AssurancesAtlantique Assurances, a subsidiary of the Moroccan group Banque Centrale Populaire has launched a new product designed for cotton farmers in Côte d'Ivoire.

Named «Atlantique Assur’Coton», the offer is an index-based microinsurance that covers the loss of yield caused by the occurrence of natural disasters such as floods or drought. Farmers who underwriter this cover will benefit from compensation per hectare in the event of a loss.

This new offer is launched in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Mamda Ré.
