Aviva France for sale

AVIVAThe general manager of Aviva France and Aviva Europe, Patrick Dixneuf, has confirmed the sale of the company to the group's employees. The procedure ranges from 3 to 4 billion EUR (3.5 and 4.7 billion USD).

The sale concerns Aviva France, Union Financière Française (UFF, a bank specialized in wealth management), Epargne Actuelle (main distributor of the Afer insurance contract) and GIE Afer. All in all, the group holds 4500 employees and more than 1000 general agents.

About twenty potential buyers are believed to be interested in the operation. For the record, on 6 August 2020, Amanda Blanc, Aviva's new general manager, announced the set-up of a strategy to refocus the group’s activities in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada.
