Awash Insurance is marketing a terrorism scheme in Ethiopia

Awash Insurance Company is providing a terrorism insurance cover, an initiative that results from the upsurge of violent acts, especially in the regions of Amhara and Oromia.

Awash is not the only insurer coming up with this kind of coverage in Ethiopia. Nyala Insurance has, for nearly one year now, offered the same policy.

Ethiopian Insurance Company (EIC) and United Insurance are also planning on tapping into this niche by launching their own products.
